B-18A   BOLO 37-521   15 NOVEMBER 1941   PAGE TWO
Due to the 1944 cleanup of this site as a training exercise , this is a "micro" site. Less than 10% of the wreckage remains at the site. These small pieces of  wing skin along the "cartwheel" path are typical of what is left.
Two WW II veterans, that assisted the Army with body removal in 1941, went on a day hike and relocated this site for me after my many searches had come up empty. They left this piece of fuselage skin in a bush to make sure "the young fella" would be able to locate the site.
Section of cockpit floorboard
A twisted seat back frame and the seat pan of a flight deck seat. All four crew were ejected on impact, thrown clear of the fire.
This engine component was encased in an aluminum ingot by the post-crash fire.
